If you love books, and if you love San Francisco, read this travel article from the New York Times. If you live there, it'll make you proud and excited to explore. If you don't, you'll wish you did or feel an overbearing sense of nostalgia. While this article motivates me to be more proactive in seeking out NYC's little bookstores, I have a feeling it's not quite the same as in San Francisco.
Mom wants to take me shopping on Haight-Ashbury street when I come home for Christmas. I think I'm going to ask to do a bookstore-crawl instead.
