I wanted to share an awesome craft project that my friend Risa has been doing for fun and as gifts for her friends - feather headbands! Risa has been rocking this look for awhile now but I never considered it for myself until she made me one for my birthday. I wore it yesterday for the first time and was very impressed with how much it can spice up a plain outfit and put a little pep in your step.

Risa picked out the feathers and the leaf accents and glued them onto a round piece of thick fabric (from an old pair of jeans). Then, she simply cut out a strip off an old pair of leggings to act as the headband and sewed the feather piece right on. This is a simple and easy craft project that is not only cheap, but allows you make a piece just the way you like it rather than sorting through a myriad of options at a store. Just another reminder that we don't need money to look cute and have fun. Thanks Risa!
