I am grateful for the continuation of glorious fall days in New York City, especially when a snowstorm last weekend had us believe that fall 2011 was officially over.

I am grateful for the nights when I get home late from class and Nick has dinner waiting in the kitchen.

I am grateful to have a family I look forward to spending the Thanksgiving holiday with even though my own family is 3,000 miles away.

I am grateful for videochat, gchat, long emails, and skype - they save friendships, I swear.

I am grateful for patience (and my attempts to have it at all times).

I am grateful for the two teachers I work with in student-teaching and the confidence they instill in me while simultaneously giving me the best and most efficient constructive criticism.

I am grateful that the gym is 100 feet away from our front door. Any further and I'd barely be able to go as often as I finally do now.  :)
