Can't you just imagine this song playing in the background of a movie scene while someone is driving down the road, windows down, boxes of belongings in the backseat? Enjoy.

movin' away.
Nick has been on a My Morning Jacket kick lately and he recently played me this song from their newest album, which I hadn't heard yet. It is so beautiful and totally invokes the emotions of picking up, moving to a new place, and dealing with a dichotomy of emotions - sad to leave something behind, but excited to see what lays ahead. I've had this experience more than once in my lifetime and I know I haven't had my last. Listening to this song makes me think of packing up and moving across the country, packing up and leaving one home to return to another, and then packing up once more to move to the Big Apple and finding yet another home. As the lyrics will say to you, "...though there's a new life line/ I won't forget the one I left behind."
Can't you just imagine this song playing in the background of a movie scene while someone is driving down the road, windows down, boxes of belongings in the backseat? Enjoy.
