I won't get into detail about the mindless fodder I tend to fill my life with (any Bethenny fans out there?) but I will say that I do think I have a really good taste for really good TV shows. One of these genius gems happens to make a long-awaited return tonight and I. CAN. NOT. WAIT.
Mad Men, you guys!
Between the timepiece insight, the fashion, the drinking and smoking, the culture, and duh, the drama: nothing gets better. The show is not for everyone - it is extremely slow and less plot-driven then, say, Lost, but the quality of the in-depth character analysis and the theme of personal struggle (and growth and fluctuation) is the best I've seen in any show. After watching all four seasons so far, I can honestly say that I have loved and hated every single character at some point in time. The show is far from being clichéd yet still has subtle cliffhangers that are rational and efficient without being randomly popped in just to draw audiences.
If you're not watching this amazing show that happens to air on AMC, give Season 1 a whirl. You may, like I did, suddenly desire to put on a pointy bra, slip into a vintage shift dress, pin your hair up, decorate your eyes with winged eyeliner, order an old-fashioned, and make some irrational, gender-struggled, politically-conflicting decisions in life.

Well, one thing hasn't changed since that older picture - Roger wanting Joan! The season premiere was all that and a bag of chips. Love this show!
