Last week, I could barely contain my excitement for the return of Mad Men, and now tonight, it's a double whammy. I'm ready for episode two but I'm also excited for the premiere of season 2 of Game of Thrones. Looking at pictures, I never thought I'd be interested in a show that looked a mix of medieval history, fantasy, horseback wars, and the likes. Yet, when Nick and I stayed in one Friday night last fall and decided to watch the first episode, we got hooked. Nick has now read the first book and is well on his way to finishing the second one. I plan on reading the books but not until summer when I can really dive into them (they are all almost 1,000 pages long!). For now, I'll let HBO satisfy my quench for this amazing and complex story of power, loyalty, deception, incest, epic love, and so, so much more.
Disclaimer: With all this talk of The Hunger Games and Mad Men and now this, I want to assure you that TV and film are not taking over my life! I just happen to be a master at being really really busy but squeezing in the good stuff when I can. :)

I'm a fellow junkie. I'm currently halfway through Book 4, and dream in G.O.T.... I actually think I'm one of the characters! I've never been like this before with a "fantasy" novel - get ready to be REALLY hooked when you start reading them!!!
