My resolutions this year are a hodgepodge of old resolutions from last year mixed with resolutions with some amazing articles I've read. Really, one can never have too many resolutions that aim toward trying to be a better person and live a better life.
My first resolution is the only one that is not from anything from above but simply something I believe will make me a better person, will help in dealing with my relationships, and will motivate me to pursue happiness over negativity. That resolution is to stop being so sensitive. There are so many moments wasted that spawn from sensitivity: worrying about what close friends think of you, not speaking your truth, arguing with people over misinterpretations, and feeling slandered by people who are not important and have no affect on your life. My resolution is to spend 2014 not taking things so personally and to gauge whether or not feeling sensitive about something is truly appropriate, something that will affect me the next day or month or year.
Other resolutions:
- continue the same resolutions as last year. I think they're all good ones :)
- continue working hard to be the best teacher I can be
- work toward ruling the world in 8 easy steps
