a sunday kind of love.

Sunday used to be the worst day of the week. A day of homework, of hangovers, of chores such as laundry and grocery shopping, the day you procrastinated until, the day before a new week of school began. Sunday was the enemy, sometimes a bigger enemy than Monday morning.

Now, priorities have changed and Sunday is the best day of the week. It is the day of staying home, of lounging on the couch, of, yes, doing the chores such as laundry and grocery shopping, but feeling like the slate has been wiped clean and a fresh new week is ready to launch. Sunday nights I go to bed in a clean apartment, with a fridge full of food, with the happy feeling that comes from a day full of simultaneous productivity and laziness.

Yes, Sundays are my favorite now. And what could make a Sunday especially more glorious than usual? When Monday is a holiday.

So, cheers to having two Sundays this weekend. I hope you do something special.
